Second batch of Strawberry Jam is almost done!!🥰😍🍓🫶

Of course we had to try the STRAWBERRY JAM!
Its AMAZING… i will say its more of a syrup consistency but the taste makes up for it! Its also our first time making strawberry jam(syrup) so theres always things to learn! So tomorrow i will adjust the recipe and do it again!☺️☺️

I opted for toast and Zach chose to have it over butter pecan ice cream!

After canning a little over half of the strawberries, tonight we ended with:

We still have 2 GALLONS of strawberry puree to make into jam!!! 🤤🙃😅😂😍

I absolutely LOVE canning 😍

Woohoo! Recipe success! Sometimes it's the small things that can be the most satisfying to accomplish 😌
I have been a huge fan of the Chick-fil-A Spicy Southwest Salad for many years now and just never could quite replicate something I liked as well at home. Thanks to our local Price Chopper carrying the dressing for it, I finally nailed an at home copycat 😁 For about $4 per salad versus over $10, I'm a happy camper and set on some tasty salad this week that has quite a bit more protein than the original. The recipe is below is you'd like to try it yourself, and if shopping from Aldi, you might be able to make it quite a bit cheaper. I'm personally a bit bougie when my lettuce is concerned, and natural grocers is my go-to for any produce I can't get through my local growers.

Full recipe makes 4-6 individual salads

2 large heads leaf lettuce
1 bunch cilantro
Mix together the following:
1 Sam's Club rotisserie chicken - chopped
1 can del Monte Mexican street corn - drained
1 can fire roasted rotel
1 can seasoned black beans
2 tbls taco seasoning
1 tsp kinders red jalapeño garlic seasoning

For each individual salad add:
1 tbsp Chick-fil-A creamy salsa dressing
Tortilla chips or salad toppers
