She learned her baking skills when helping her father, Bunny Deal, run Deal’s Create-A-Cake and Bakery in College Plaza in the early 1980s. Some of the recipes that can be found in E.L.F.’s Kitchen are Bunny’s recipes. These incredible recipes include: Bear Claws, Nut and Fruit Cake, Pecan Timbles or Mini-Pies,and Challah bread. New recipes will include: Zucchini Loaf, Springerle Cookies, Lemon-Po

ppyseed loaf, whole wheat bread, and buttermilk pound cake. Hob Nobs (Honey, Oats, Butter (nut butter), Nuts, plus Other Bar) will be a nutritional powerbar that can be customized. Other offerings will be based on local seasonal ingredients such as strawberries, blueberries, and peaches. This business has a Cottage Food License. The owner had to take a Food Safety Course, have a kitchen inspection by the GA Dept. of Agriculture,and have a well and septic tank inspection by the Bulloch County Health Department. The following statement is required on all food prepared by this business: “MADE IN A COTTAGE FOOD OPERATION THAT IS NOT SUBJECT TO STATE FOOD SAFETY INSPECTIONS”

Today’s Fancy Friday is dedicated to all the hard working school teachers who are nearing summer break. The cake is inspired by the flavors of sangria and models a summer sun. The cake is a buttermilk pound cake layered with cream cheese, whipped cream, and a grape juice soak. The second dessert is a cherry bomb. It is a no bake cheesecake with a cherry gelee center topped with a mirror glaze, edible flowers, and gold leaf. Oh, and a cherry on top!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from ELF'S Kitchen! This delicious Bailey's Chocolate Cake is topped with a pot of gold guarded by Paddy Gonks. Gonks are small, bearded, mischievous domestic spirits that can bring good luck.

ELF's Kitchen is bursting into fall with this delicious apple spice bundt cake. To celebrate the first day of fall, ELF's Kitchen crafted this bundt cake with Granny Smith, Gala, and Honey Crisp apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice. A special ingredient is apple cider from Franklin, North Carolina by NC Mountain Made. This old-fashioned apple cider added the perfect level of spice and sweetness to this recipe.

Happy Fancy Friday! Today, ELF'S Kitchen brings you a three tiered cake with unique flavor combinations. The top tier is a lemon chiffon cake with layers of whipped cream icing and strawberry compote. The middle tier is a pistachio cake with honey Swiss meringue buttercream and peach curd. And finally, the bottom tier is a traditional vanilla cake with lime basil buttercream and dragonfruit and nectarine puree.
