Im a routine girl through and through! I recently started a new desk job and a few new baking gigs a month ago. I’ve really struggled the past few weeks in trying to balance everything + my old routines. On Sundays I would bake from 8am- midnight then wake up Monday to bake at 6am then slide into my desk job. 😭

But I’m finally getting into the groove of being more efficient, waking up early to bake on Sunday then going on a bike ride down the beach while all my sourdough takes their sweet time to rise. 🚴‍♀️🍞

As things have started to settle down, super excited to keep stretching and experimenting with Le Petit Chat. 🧪

On this National Cancer Survivors Day, I reflect on my journey and my pirate cat logo, which represents a deep part of my story.

Surviving a rare childhood cancer and losing my right eye shaped who I am today. For years, I wore eyepatches and felt embarrassed, but now I proudly embrace my story and strength.

Cancer doesn’t end with remission; it’s a lifelong journey marked by challenges and triumphs. Despite facing two returning cancer scares as an adult, I choose courage over fear and pursue my dreams wholeheartedly. My bakery is a testament to this spirit.

My favorite is the Yuzu Citrus. A personal mission of mine is to be intentional about ingredients and to use high quality ingredients that support small farms.

I sourced candied yuzu and pure Yuzu juice from a specialty Japanese supplier. The supplier supports Japanese community farmers, and the Yuzu peel is candied in Ehime, Japan.
