everGRATEFUL:
The Facing Homelessness Staff and Board are so very GRATEFUL for the countless acts of kindness shared compassionately and creatively by so many in this community with those in need.
On this THANKSGIVING DAY, we want to share about Carolin Messier, owner of the Harvest Vine, a perfect example of those quietly going about making a profound difference with their own skills and passion.
For years Carolin made tarts to hand out to her customers during the holidays, they were loveLOVE LOVED by all. Three years ago she decided rather than just hand them out, she would begin selling them to raise funds for Facing Homelessness, wowWOW!!!
The first year she surpassed her goal of raising $5K, the second year she surpassed her goal of $7.5K, and this year she wants to exceed her goal of $10K!
Carolin said, "Last year I pretty much maxed out the production I could accomplish with one part time assistant. We sold 265 tarts which raised $9,240. But his year I've been able to organize a few volunteers and a full time assistant, so I'm pretty confident that we'll be able to beat our goal of raising $10,000."
Carolin is widely loved by her customers and friends, it's easy to see why, she has a big sensitive heart, she cares about those struggling and suffering, especially through injustices such as homelessness.
Please consider supporting her efforts of supporting our efforts at Facing Homelessness. You can order here: https://www.harvestvine.com/shop/. I can promise you from past experience, you will loveLOVE these tarts!!!
Not enough words to thank Carolin for her beautiful way in the world and for all the others quietly doing the same.
