After over 20 years of making cakes and cookies I am setting down the apron.

I have felt God calling me into children’s ministry for over 1 1/2 years now. As the love for children’s ministry keeps growing in my heart; the love for decorating has started to fade.

I prayed a lot and really didn’t want to just stop. I didn’t want to let anyone down. It may seem silly, but I have had so many repeated customers over the years ( so many cakes/cookies never posted because I’m not big on posting🙃) But I have been so very blessed to have been asked to make special cakes or cookies for so many special moments in peoples’ lives year after year. God knew my heart, and placed someone in my path that you all can trust to make beautiful and delicious cakes and beyond for you and your family for years to come. I will post her page in the comments.

I don’t know what all God has in store for me, but through various moments that He has put in front of me, I know that He is telling me to fully step away so that I can keep growing and learning where He is leading me, and keep saying, “YES!” He is closing this door of my life, and I will be ready to walk-through whatever door He opens next.

My last order was in June. It was a wedding for an amazing family serving in youth ministry on my son’s 14th birthday. My son absolutely loves this family and was able to be there to celebrate his youth leaders wedding. What a blessing it was to have ended that way🙌

This was a small, two tiered Chantilly wedding cake. Almond flavored cake with cut up strawberries inside each layer, and homemade whipped topping all throughout the cake. Decorated with fresh strawberries and blueberries, and hints of baby’s breath.

This cake was for a great kid! Well, now adult🤪. She loves sunflowers, red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting, so that’s what she got☺️

This was for a wedding this weekend. Can I just say that it was absolutely therapeutic to decorate this cake🤗

The top tier was a s’more cake, and the bottom one was vanilla.

Cupcakes to go along with the cake were chocolate, vanilla, and my favorite… s’mores. I won’t tell you how many s’more cupcakes I had of my own😋.

This cake and cookies was for a wedding tonight. The bride picked out all of the flowers and greenery, and provided the topper. Then I was free to design the cake how I wished, using a picture that she sent for inspiration ☺️

Side note… Upper Crust is a great catering company! If anyone is looking for great food and great service for an event, I highly recommend them😉

This cake was for a little girl who loves unicorns and the color pink.
…and what 5 year old doesn’t like hearts too, so I sprinkled them throughout the cake💕

A year ago this week, two high school sweethearts said, “ I do!”

The bride was one of my daycare kiddos from back in the day. So when I was asked to do her cake and cookies, I felt nothing but joy☺️

The bride wanted to keep a simple clean look for the frosting on the cake, and a big statement with the flowers🌻

I have to say, that this cake was delivered on the hottest day that summer, and it was an outside wedding😅. Talk about being nervous🤪

Another fun summer cake😎
This time with a Barbie theme. I actually made this cake last summer, but realized that I never posted it🙃.

Most of the items on this cake are edible, except the little doggie, the bone, and the basket. I just love all of the bright blended colors! Making the little doggie’s tiny pool was my favorite thing to do on this cake🤗

There was a lot of time put into shaping, icing, and detailing every bit of this cake to try to make it super special.

I try my very best to put love into every cake that I create. My goal is for the person to feel joy the moment they see it. I try to add personal touches to make them feel special🤗, so this is why I always say NO to a copycat cake😉
