Silvia brings her 25 years of experience from her family’s Alfajores business to present Lo**ta Artisanal Bakery with much pride and love. Silvia was indoctrinated into the baking world by her mother - Dolores ('Lo**ta') Gonzalez Leiva, who baked the most delicious alfajores and pastries back in Cosquin , in the Cordoba Region of their native Argentina. Today Silvia is baking in San Mateo, Califo

rnia her traditional artisanal products continuing the highest quality standards that caracterices her brand. Organic flours, sugar, butter, milk , chocolate and eggs are part of our pantry to produce all this delicacies with love. Lo**ta Bakery makes alfajores, mini palmiers, puff dough pastries, croissants and tarts that can be found at their shop located at Hillsdale Shopping Center. The Alfajor Cordobes, our most popular variety represents the Sierras de Cordoba region, this alfajor type are filled with fruits marmalades & pastes like membrillo (quince), raspberry, fig and also with dulce de leche covered with a light glaze. Other very typical Alfajores from this area include Regionales & Colaciones both filled with dulce de leche. The Chocolate Alfajor from Mar del Plata & Buenos Aires are chocolate alfajores, filled with dulce de leche and dipped in dark chocolate. There is also a variety dipped in meringue glasé. Santa Fe has a triple layered alfajor also covered with glase and dulce de leche. The north of Argentina - Tucuman, Catamarca & Salta share varieties like Gaznates filled with turron, dulce de cayote, an d dulce de leche as fillings for this delightful authentic traditional alfajores fig & walnuts and Nueces Confitadas are very popular in this area as well. Alfajores are our signature cookie and is the gift to go when thinking in bringing a present or souvenir to your friends and family, back home.
