Another look at how money goes back to the community.
I paid her adoption fee today so she can find a forever home! Thank you for supporting my small business, so I can support others ā¤ļø
UPDATE: šš"Thanks to all your shares, Rachel is being adopted AND a sweet citizen, Melanie, paid her adoption fee!" šš
š Rachel is starting to think the shelter is her home⦠and thatās the saddest thing I have ever witnessed.
Rachel is only about 7 months old. A baby, really.
Sheās already spayed, microchipped, and fully vetted. Completely ready for a family of her own.
But instead⦠sheās grown up here. At a full shelter. And at risk.
She is everything you could want in a dog. Gentle. Patient. Kind. Even when a group of rowdy adolescent dogs climbed all over her, she stayed calm and composed. She adores people. At our offsite event, she quietly laid at a volunteerās feet all day, softly taking in the world around her, greeting people and dogs with the sweetest, easygoing spirit.
Sheās a little shy in new places and loud environments but she tries so hard. A volunteer recently took her out to experience the city. The cars scared her, but she didnāt panic⦠she just stayed close, trusting and leaning into her person. She rode beautifully in the car. She wants to be brave.
And then something happened that broke us.
As soon as she recognized the shelter parking lot⦠she got excited.
Her tail wagged. Her whole body lit up.
Because to her⦠thatās āhome.ā
š Rachel doesnāt know sheās supposed to have more than this!!!
She is now our longest stay. A puppy who should be learning couches, toys, routines, and love⦠instead of kennel walls and passing days.
She deserves so much more than growing up here.
Please, someone show Rachel what a real home feels like.
Sheās ready. Sheās waiting. And she will love you so, so much.
