đ¨Bakery Update!đ¨
As many of you know, I am about a month away from my due date and have plans to work until end of this month. If you are new on my page, welcome to our small bakery journey, and figuratively, I have a bun in the oven!
As the past three weeks had gone by, my body has physically been changing and I am constantly adapting to the needs for it whether itâs more naps, sitting, eating, and etc. However, on bake days, Iâve noticed each morning has now become more difficult for me to do physically. (AND during the week, I have good days of movement and the next day I will have bad days of just wanting to stay on the couch.) I am still very hands on with all the pastries you purchase from us and working 12 hours days, from baking to selling. Luckily, I have the support to have help for clean up when I get back home so I can go straight to bed. Overall, I am a very active person but Itâs time I tap out from pushing my body to the edge.
With that being said, this weekend on May 23 will be our last day at Alhambra Park. We will be short staffed on production for the last two weeks and need to pivot. My work will not stop there!
The last week of the month, May 30 & 31, we will open our home for walk up purchase and preorder picks up for to-go. We will set up our kitchen into a small cafe where you can get a glimpse of where all the magic happens and grab our delicious pastries one last time before we take leave. Instead of spending 3 hours on washing more dishes, hauling for set up/ break down, AND bringing limited amount of pastries for our walk up purchase, we will use this time to produce more pastries to be able to serve as many people as we can. ALSO, we will have a good friend of mine from serving up a limited menu of Guatemalan coffee and Chinese tea. This will be our last hoo-ra celebration before our new chapter in life. I hope you can make the time out of your day to drive a bit further away to Rosemead to visit us. This may be the next phase of C&F when we come back from leave. We hope you can continue supporting us through this journey of change and growth.
