this dish, to me, is a small snapshot of growing older, when most of life is still simple and pure, but little bits of the real world - a little complexity and bitterness - start peeping in and coexisting with the simple perspective you once knew. as much as you love a good old creamsicle on its own, you learn to make space for more complexity and nuance, and hopefully for the better.
