One of my favorite things is bringing home little treats for our home ❤️

A giant heirloom tomato. Fresh herbs for dinner. Soft, delicious bread for the week.

So we’re creating a tiny market inside The Bungalow filled with things we love.

This week you’ll find heirloom tomatoes, baby squash, and herb bundles. And because everyone keeps asking for our house dressing, I’m making a batch to sell along with herbed salt, fresh sourdough, mini focaccia, and our Chef’s Baskets.

Well … this is not the Thursday we planned.

Our ovens decided not to turn on this morning, and unfortunately we haven’t been able to get them running again. Since so much of what we serve is baked fresh throughout the day, we can’t properly operate without them.

We have a technician scheduled for tomorrow, so we’ll be closed today while we get things repaired.

We’re really sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience. We’ll update you as soon as everything is back up and running.

You already know and love our loaves from Olive Rise … and now we’ve introduced Larue Breadhouse for our weekend sales. Their Fresh Herb & Cheddar loaf? Absolutely out of this world. Savory, fragrant, perfectly blistered crust, and that soft, flavorful crumb you dream about.

We love supporting other small, independent bakers who are doing beautiful work. Great bread brings people together — and we’re here for that.

With the heavy rain today, we’re closing the café to take care of some rain-related maintenance and make sure everything stays safe, dry, and cozy inside our little bungalow.

🎬 Closed Tomorrow for a Film Shoot!

Tomorrow our café will be closed while a film scene is being shot right here at The Bungalow. We’re so excited to see our little space on screen ✨

And hey — we get it. It can be disappointing when we’re closed for private events or projects like this.

The truth is, the economy is tough right now. It’s hitting small businesses especially hard. We know when money feels tight, those sweet little extras — a pastry, a latte, a cozy afternoon treat — are often the first things to get cut. And we feel that too.

These private rentals and film days are one of the ways we navigate this season and keep our doors open long term. They help us continue doing what we love: baking from scratch, creating community, and serving you.
