The Pursuit

The Pursuit The Pursuit is place for Christians to be encouraged in their pursuit of God and their God-given destiny.

The Pursuit was created by Lesley Baker, a native Texan, who is passionate about helping people discover their God-given identity and discover their God-given destiny.

When you're walking with God stay the course before you. Even if the direction might seem unclear, your destination and finish line is ahead. Follow the last instruction He spoke to you, keep on moving forward walking in faith and being faithful to Him, as you wait for further instructions.

It is a great travesty if your race is not run. Your race is uniquely made for you by God for a Kingdom purpose and Kingdom outcome in mind. Your race awaits you.

Be the change you want to see in the world. God created us to be agents of change. Don't sit on the sidelines, get involved in God's Kingdom building here on Earth. You CAN do it.

Did you know you can leverage your news feed for Ministry? Think about it, your news feed is filled with posts from people that you're friends with, or pages that you've liked. And those posts contain needs sometimes. Why not take that as an opportunity while you scroll through the news feed, and you come across a need, whether the person asked for prayer or not, and pause and pray for that person or that need. You could be a secret agent for God as you scroll through your newsfeed!

Pondering this on Palm Sunday... I wonder what takes place in Heaven during the Jewish holidays and feasts. I wonder if there's extra praise, extra dancing Clearly there's extra spiritual warfare outside of Heaven during these times, the opposite our celebration. If there is indeed extra celebration in Heaven, then in the natural when we too celebrate these days like today, there should be extra breakthrough, right? Therefore in spite of what season we're in, celebrate and push through to the victory we have through the power of the blood of the risen Lamb. Never give up, pursue your victory. Happy Holy Week, Beloved!

The greatest legacy you can leave is pursuing the dreams and passions God has given you. In every season dream big and be bold by taking some big steps in the midst of a lot of small steps towards fulfilling each dream.

There are two kinds of people in the world — those who ask why and those who ask why not. Going all out is asking why not. Why people look for excuses. Why not people look for opportunities. Why people are afraid of making mistakes. Why not people don’t want to miss out on God-ordained opportunities. - All In by Mark Batterson

Saul was playing not to lose. Jonathan was playing to win. And that’s the difference between fear and faith. If you let fear dictate your decisions, you will live defensively, reactively, cautiously. Living by faith is playing offense with your life. And it’s the difference between holding out on God and going all out for God. - All In by Mark Batterson

It’s not enough to sit in a church service for sixty minutes. Churches are filled with spiritual sightseers who feel like they’ve done their religious duty by sitting and listening. We don’t get credit for an audit. Going to church is a good thing, but sitting in a pew for sixty minutes is not God’s ultimate plan for our lives. In fact, church can undermine His plan by becoming a subtle form of spiritual codependency. We let someone else worship for us, study for us, and pray for us. So instead of going all out for God, church becomes our bailout.
