Alexandria Ballew Monroe, events & marketing communications manager at Associated General Contractors of America (San Antonio AGC), has been active in the A/E/C industry for three years and a member of Society for Marketing Professional Services for two.

Recently elected special events director for SMPS San Antonio, Alexandria is helping bring members together through meaningful chapter experiences—building on standout work like leading the planning and ex*****on of the San Antonio AGC Centennial Gala for 600+ attendees at the Tobin Center.

Our next May project spotlight features the Eads Avenue Raised Pedestrian Crossing by Kimley-Horn. Designed to improve safety and accessibility in San Antonio, the project connects Vibrant Works facilities with nearby transit stops through enhanced pedestrian infrastructure tailored for visually impaired users.

The project includes a tactile directional guide, overhead flashing beacon equipment, and coordination with VIA Metropolitan Transit to support bus operations and drainage improvements.
