Double Chocolate Almond Cookies. •
They’re a new fan favorite.
Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Fresh out of the oven, the chocolate chips melt in your mouth while you notice a little bit of bite from the toasty almond slices. Heavenly.

I like this crusty one a lot. There was a lot of blistering and a lot of oven spring happening because I’ve finally figured out a good system to incorporate steam into my little blue cast iron pot.

Life has gone back to full time craziness and so I haven’t had much time or energy left to spend in my own kitchen. However, the other day we wanted a quick sweet treat so I raced the clock to complete these ‘hostess’ style cupcakes.

Life has gotten quite hectic the last couple of weeks— but I’m not letting it discourage me from baking at home. Here’s a couple of the latest.

We have reached 600 FOLLOWERS 🥳
So in celebration, I made a super moist and delicious Carrot Cake 🥕

My honey went for a walk around the neighborhood to collect an array of the most beautiful flowers. There’s no way I’d cover that delicious crumb with frosting.
Thanks to those of you who have contributed your opinion about raisins being necessary in carrot cake. This particular cake is dried fruit free.

I’m back working full time production at the bakery so getting into home baking endeavors will be more infrequent in real time but still consistent in content.
