Calling all my fall sourdough girlies! These long-fermented Sourdough Pumpkin Spice Muffins have officially arrived! 🎃
You’ll make a preferment the night before, let it ferment overnight, then mix in the rest of the ingredients the next day. Bake at 375°F for 17–20 minutes, and let them cool completely so the muffins can set.
They’re naturally fermented with sourdough starter, warmly spiced with cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves, and topped with a buttery cinnamon crumble. 🍂
This recipe has been such a labor of love. I started working on it last year, but after a few failed attempts, I set it aside. Recently, I pulled out my notes, made some tweaks, and finally…she’s here, and she’s everything I hoped for! 🍁
