Our Toasted Vanilla pie was the first pie to make it onto the menu when we first opened six years ago. It was meant to be a space holder until we replaced it with something more exciting. It quickly became the crowd favorite. We took it off the menu a few years ago to make room for other flavors. Should we try that again? Do y’all need a break from the Toasted Vanilla for something more adventurous? 🥧 🤔

Matcha custard recipe
Makes 1 pie
127g sugar
11g flour
2g salt
4g matcha powder
108g melted butter
144g eggs
20g egg yolks
450g heavy cream
3g vanilla extract
Whisk together the sugar, flour, salt, and matcha powder. Whisk in the melted butter. Then whisk in the cream, eggs, yolks, and vanilla extract. Pour into your prepared pie shell and bake at 300°F for about 40 minutes.
