Signs its brownie day in the Blissful Cakery kitchen.

I can pretend it’s the love I put into each Blissful brownie that makes it special. Sure it’s 10% love but, but it’s also 90% high quality ingredients. I don’t cut corners with the ingredients I use. My brownies are always made with Belgian chocolate and premium butter from grass-fed cows.

As a baker without much of a sweet tooth personally, I’m slow to reach for treats. When I do, I want the treat to feel special, rich, and indulgent. Far too often, I’ve been let down by sub par baked goods. If you’re choosing to spend your hard earned money on a treat in this economy, I will make sure your Blissful bite is worth it.

In a world of gatekeepers, I am so grateful for Junita Flowers.

I couldn’t let go by without giving a major shout out of appreciation for the Junita. For years she has offered me unfettered encouragement and guidance as I’ve developed Blissful Cakery. Watching her grow Junita’s Jar® | Cookies for Hope from a home based cookie business to a national brand has been inspirational. She’s reached back regularly to me and other fledgling entrepreneurs to share her wisdom. She’s always responded to my calls and texts. She’s made herself available to others. She’s embodied a spirit of abundance and community that is rare.

Just today she reminded me of my brand differentiators and what makes what I do special. In a time when I was feeling lost in a sea of other bakers, her encouragement was exactly what I needed. Junita is a treasure and my business is (and many other businesses are) so much better off because of her. For these reasons, and so many others, I am grateful for her.

Y’all know I love to bake for a great cause!

For 50 years, Tubman has helped people of all ages, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds experiencing relationship violence, homelessness and other forms of trauma find safety, hope, and healing. I’m so excited to be among the vendors participating in their HOPEtember Tubman Rocks the Block benefit concert and maker market. This family friendly event will have a range of activities designed to build community and highlight the critical work Tubman is doing in our community. I hope you will make it out.

We’re serving up tennis-inspired treats as part of the US Open Women’s Final watch party at A Bar of Their Own. And because Dove doesn’t want you to sweat it, they are picking up the tab on our tennis ball Kiwi Lime Macarons and the brownies and blondies you came to love at our markets this summer. We’re ending our summers farmers market season back where it all began. What a full circle experience. Help us end well by stopping by and taking part in the bliss. Studies show macarons are a top tier teacher appreciation gift.

Ok, so the study isn’t exactly scientific. ☺️ As a former educator myself, I can confidently say macarons are a pretty great way to say thanks to teachers for all they do. Fortunately for teachers everywhere, we also have brownies, Blondies, Biscoff Situations, and more.

My wild and crazy summer farmers market season is coming to an end. What a ride!

Taking the leap into farmers markets this summer has been a phenomenal experience in so many ways. My systems are more efficient. The Biscoff Situation fandom is on the rise. I’m far less anxious heading into markets.

And then there is all of you who have come out to support me. I’m truly blown away by the market regulars who took a chance on the new baker in town. I’m especially grateful for long time customers who made a point to support me in this new adventure. I truly couldn’t have done it without you all.
