🥐✨ A LITTLE SCONES BEHIND-THE-SCENES! ✨🥐

Did you know my sourdough scones get a little extra time in the fridge? 👀

Once they’re made, they spend 3 full days in the fridge fermenting before I bake them. That extended fermentation allows the sourdough cultures more time to work on the dough and break down some of the gluten and other components, which can make the scones easier for some people to digest.

And the best part? That extra time also helps develop more flavor and that delicious sourdough goodness! 🤎

So when you see me making scones days before market day…there’s a reason! 😉

I just have to give a HUGE shoutout to So Sweet by Cheri for these absolutely ADORABLE custom cookies she made especially for Outback Bakehouse! 🥹

The attention to detail is phenomenal! From the little flour bag to the “SpongeBob” sourdough starter jar and, of course, the custom Outback Bakehouse logo cookies—she absolutely nailed every little detail. 🤎
And the sweetest part? She made these for our upcoming giveaway! 🎉
I am beyond excited to share these with one lucky customer! (Well she is going to make more because these are GONE 😅) It means so much when another small business puts so much creativity, time, and love into something for your business. ❤️

Two years ago, Outback Bakehouse found a home on the shelves at Elk County Foods, and what started as a small bakery dream has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. ❤️
None of this would be possible without the amazing customers who continue to choose local, support small businesses, and come back week after week for their favorite breads, treats, and sourdough goodies. Every order, purchase, recommendation, and kind word means more than you know! 🥰
