Home-baked sweet treats coming from my oven to your happy tummy! Located in Saint Louis Park, MN. One of my greatest joys is baking. I can't wait to bake for you!

I love sharing my treats with other people - it is an honor to make food that people enjoy. I am a registered cottage baker located in Saint Louis Park, MN. All products are homemade in my kitchen and are not subject to state inspection. I make traditional Jewish breads and pastries, like challah, bagels, and babka. I also make a wide variety of scones, muffins, biscuits, breads, and special holiday treats. Many of the items I make can be made vegan, but please note, I do not have a vegan kitchen. Similarly, all of my ingredients are heckschered, but I do not have a strictly kosher kitchen. The Jewish holiday of Purim starts Wednesday night. The holiday commemorates when the Jews were saved from a plot where a royal advisor named Haman planned to kill all Persian Jews. Celebrations usually include wearing costumes, drinking, hearing the book of Esther read, having a festive meal, giving to charity and giving food parcels as gifts. We also eat hamentashen, a triangle-shaped cookie with filling. Hamentashen are among my very favorite things to bake (and eat) and this year I made around 350 of them! Chag sameach!

For several years, we held a hamentashen-baking competition with friends. It was friendly in the sense that we all stayed friends afterwards, but my competitive streak came out every year. I'd practice each week leading up to the competition and make my coworkers try each iteration to provide feedback. I work from home full-time now, which I enjoy, but I miss bringing cookies every Monday to share with them! I'm looking forward to sharing them with you 😍

Filling options include apricot, chocolate peanut butter, poppy seed (munn) or raspberry, one dozen for $18. You can mix and match if you want more than one type!

A friend recently had an idea to try cherry white chocolate challah. We gave it a try and here are the results! Having some fun practicing sugar cookies for Chanukah. The heart shape isn’t traditional for the holiday but I thought they’d lend themselves well to cookie sandwiches - clearly essential for the taste-testing process! 😉

Several years ago, when I was pregnant with my first child, I was at the grocery store in the baking aisle and overheard a conversation between a mother and her young daughter.
Daughter: "Oh Mom, we're out of frosting."
Mom: "We're not *out* of frosting. We don't keep frosting *on hand at all times.* We just don't have frosting."
In that moment, I thought, That is not the parent I am going to be.
Fast forward to this week, when I discovered you can buy sprinkles by the pound.
Decorative and delightful indeed!
