🩷🥖 SUNDAY MARKET UPDATE 🥖🩷

Okay, St. Joe — I’ve officially made the decision to CANCEL today’s Bakery Market.

I know I originally delayed us until this afternoon hoping I could get everything finished, but there is simply TOO MUCH left to bake and not enough time to put together the kind of market I want to give you.

If I loaded up what I currently have finished, the tables would be pretty bare — and to me, that’s just not a good Bakery Market. I don’t want you making the drive to Hobby Lobby only to find a tiny selection of products.

We also had our family emergency with Ami last night after she had another seizure. Unfortunately, she is recovering much slower today than we had hoped, and I really feel like I need to stay home where I can keep a close eye on her. 🐾🩷

On top of everything else, I ran out of packaging for a few of my products, and that shipment isn’t arriving until sometime today. 🤦‍♀️

So instead of continuing to fight the clock, I’m calling it.

BUT because we aren’t able to come out today, I’m going to open an HOUR EARLIER tomorrow! 🙌🩷

I’m going to use the rest of today to stay home with Ami, finish ALLLLLL the baking, get everything packaged as soon as my supplies arrive and make sure tomorrow is a FULL Bakery Market with the selection you expect when you come see me.

I am genuinely sorry for all of the changes this weekend. Between the rain and storms and then what happened with Ami last night, this weekend definitely did not go according to plan.

Good morning, St. Joe! I need to make a change to today’s Bakery Market hours:

⏰ NEW MARKET TIME: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
📍 Hobby Lobby Parking Lot

We had an unexpected family emergency with our German Shepherd, Ami, last night. She unfortunately had another seizure and spent the entire night recovering. I needed to stay with her and make sure she was okay, so I wasn’t able to get any baking done last night like I had planned. 🐾🩷

Thankfully, I have this morning to get those ovens GOING! 🔥🥖

I’ll be spending the morning baking everything FRESH and getting those tables filled for this afternoon!

We are ABSOLUTELY still coming today — just switching from a morning market to an afternoon/evening market.

🌧️🚨 WEEKEND MARKET WEATHER UPDATE 🚨🌧️

Good morning, St. Joe! After checking the weather again this morning, I’m going to CANCEL TODAY’S Bakery Market.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature is just NOT cooperating with us this weekend. 😂🌧️

They’re calling for rain and storms throughout today, and with an outdoor bakery setup, I just can’t risk tables full of sourdough and baked goods getting caught in the rain — and I don’t want any of you getting out in nasty weather just to come see me either! 🩷

So we’re going to stop fighting the forecast and shift our focus to TWO BIG MARKET DAYS:

I wanted to get this posted EARLY this morning so nobody gets ready, makes the drive to Hobby Lobby and finds an empty spot.

Vacation was AMAZING and very much needed...but Buttercup Cottage Bakery is officially BACK and I am SO ready to see all of our wonderful customers again!! 🥖🥯🍪🩷

Quick update, St. Joe — we are STILL finishing up the last loads of sourdough bread this morning! 🥖🔥

We are baking and packaging everything as FAST as humanly possible over here 😂, but I don’t want to pull anything before it’s properly baked just to get out the door a little sooner.

⏰ I am HOPING to be completely set up by 11:00 AM AT THE ABSOLUTE LATEST!

I am so sorry for the delays this morning. The cooler temperatures slowed our sourdough down more than expected, and those last bread loads are taking their sweet time. 😂

We ARE still having our Bakery Market this morning — we’re just going to be opening a little later than planned! 🩷

With the temperature dropping quite a bit overnight, some of my sourdough goodies decided they needed a little extra time to rise. 😂🥖 They’re still being baked fresh this morning, and I don’t want to rush them just to make the original 8 AM opening time!

The ovens are going, the bakery smells AMAZING, and we WILL be there this morning — just a little delayed! 🙌

Remember, this is our LAST POPUP before vacation, and I’m bringing LARGE quantities so everyone can stock up! 🥖🥯🥐🍪
