Trying something new today!

I baked a few sandwich-style sourdough loaves. They’re made with the same simple ingredients as my artisan loaves—organic flour, water, salt, and starter—but in a shape that’s a little more convenient for sandwiches and toast.

I’m offering these at an introductory price of $9 while I test out this new style.

I have a few available today. Let me know if you’d like one!

As summer arrives and temperatures start climbing, I’ve decided to slow down weekly baking for a season ☀️🍞

Right now I’m still deciding exactly what baking will look like through the summer months. Instead of weekly availability, I will most likely still bake occasionally — possibly once a month or around local farmers markets/events if I participate in any.

If I do bake, I’ll post menus ahead of time so people can reserve loaves with their name set aside for pickup 🤍

This page also may slowly shift a little this summer into more sourdough education, sharing tips, troubleshooting, techniques, and things I’m learning along the way. One of my favorite parts of sourdough has honestly been helping other people learn they can do it too.

I’m also really excited because we now have equipment to start creating sourdough-themed products and merch, so I’ll likely be focusing more energy there this summer and slowly connecting that with my Etsy shop. If you’re a sourdough fan, you’ll probably start seeing some fun things shared here 🥖✨

I’m incredibly thankful for everyone who has supported this little business so far. Every order, kind message, shared post, and excited pickup has meant so much to me and my family.

So tell me- what would you like to learn? How can I support you in your sourdough journey? I’d love to help!

Thank you for being here 🤍

I think people sometimes assume I started baking sourdough because I love baking.

But really, I started because I was trying to solve a problem.

My oldest son struggled with gluten when he was younger, and it affected so many things. It touched our dinners at home, birthdays, parties, holidays, community events… all the places where food becomes part of belonging.

Before birthday parties, I would call parents ahead of time and ask what pizza they ordered and what cupcakes they were serving so I could try to match them as closely as possible. I’d run around town gathering all the gluten free things ahead of time.

I wanted him to walk into the room feeling included instead of “other.”

I wanted him to have food that felt exciting and comforting too.

So often it was buying all separate items for him while the rest of us ate the “normal” stuff. And really a lot of the gluten free stuff just wasn’t as good. I didn’t want to eat it.

When I first discovered long-fermented sourdough, I remember feeling so relieved that we had found a bread we could *all* enjoy together. I didn’t have to make separate meals or buy special alternatives just for him anymore. It felt like such a gift to gather around the same food again. 😭🙏

That’s actually what led me to start learning how to make it myself.

That’s part of why I’m so grateful for this season now. What started as caring for my own family slowly turned into something I can offer my community too.

And that means more to me than just selling bread ever could. 🤍

Bread drop -Available Saturday, May 16th 🍞

This week I have:

• A couple daily artisan sourdough loaves — $12
• Sourdough pizza crusts — $8 each or 3 for $21
• And trying something new… fresh milled sourdough! 🌾

The fresh milled loaves are:
1/2 organic white flour
1/2 organic whole grain flour freshly milled at home

Curious about fresh milled sourdough?
Fresh milled flour contains the bran and germ of the wheat berry, offering more fiber and naturally occurring nutrients while still being slow fermented sourdough.

These are a very small experimental batch and I’m excited to see how they turn out 🤍

Brought sourdough to Disneyland with us last week 🥖✨

We packed loaves for the whole family trip and even brought one into the park 😂 Honestly… one of my favorite moments was posing with the sourdough bakers in California Adventure at the Boudin bakery. They actually use a real mother starter and have a long fermentation process too, so it was really fun getting to see a large-scale in person.

Also — little Disneyland food tip if you’re trying to save money feeding a big family:
Bring rolls or sourdough bread into the park and grab a turkey leg fresh and hot in the park from one of the turkey leg carts. We made sandwiches with ours and TWO turkey legs fed our family + my sister’s family (7 kids + 4 adults 😅). Definitely one of our better budget wins of the trip.

Anyway… hi 👋🏻
I realized I don’t show my face on here very often, so here’s your sourdough baker at Disneyland with bread in hand because apparently I can’t go anywhere without it 😂
