I baked a Five Flavor Pound Cake this evening for a friend/customer. I think it’s kind of cute that the cake turned out to be almost an exact match to the cake on my logo!😂❤️

So I did a thing over Labor Day weekend and bought a new, much bigger refrigerator for my kitchen, and a stand up freezer for my sunroom. I’ve been wanting a bigger refrigerator for a long time, and the stand up freezer is for freezing pound cakes, which freeze very well by the way! I’m keeping my old refrigerator to use for my supplies for my home bakery as well. 🤗

Shout out to my man, Bill Grose, who had to sand the walls and the sides of my cabinets to get that big refrigerator to fit. He had done the measurements before I bought the refrigerator, but older houses have walls that aren’t exactly square. Let’s just say there were some choice words while getting that thing in there! 🤣 It’s in and I love it! Let the baking commence! ❤️🥰

This site, Best Recipes Cakes, stole a couple of pictures of my cakes and used them for their webpage. I reported them and posted pictures of the original cakes, which I baked, in their comments. They also had incorrect recipes.🤨

I was playing around with flavors again today and baked another test cake. As you can see, the glaze got away from me a little bit. 🤣 I think I’m going to call this cake a Mile High Orange Creamsicle Pound Cake because that’s what the batter and the glaze tastes like. I used a cream cheese base for the cake and I think it’s going to be really good! I’ll let you know how it turned out tomorrow when I cut it. Happy Sunday evening! 🍊🍨🍰
