Good morning, all! It's been a while since we've posted on our page, but we have some exciting news to share! I (Katie) will be teaching cooking/baking classes at the Fox Den Cooking School located in downtown St. Charles! It was always my goal to host classes at TWS, but the demands of the business never allowed ample time and planning to see it through. Now that the bakery has been closed for almost two years, and I've had quality time to recharge my batteries, I'm *SO* excited to join the team at Fox Den and (hopefully) see you all very soon! My classes will be posted at www.foxdencooking.com as well as our instagram page (), my website www.katielouisemccall.com and my newsletter. My first two classes are available for sign-up ~ I'll post more details SOON! Thanks so much for your support ... I look forward to this next chapter!

Hey everyone! It’s been awhile since we posted. Hope you all have been doing great and (despite today’s weather) are feeling hopeful for warmer days ahead!

No cookies … no cakes … just some teeny tiny, sweet baby feet.

Our darling Elena arrived December 27 @ 1:07am in *quick* fashion — and we’ve been cocooning at home in total baby bliss ever since. 💗🤍💗

Thank you to those who already reached out with congratulatory texts and messages! Definitely feeling the love. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are easing into the New Year with optimism … I am feeling beyond blessed for my health, beautiful children and amazing friends + family.

Hi, everyone! I can’t believe Christmas is less than a week away! 🎄💕 The months have honestly flown by since we closed the bakery storefront, and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed a (somewhat) slower pace of life after a decade of go-go-go. My mom and I were just talking about how bizarre it feels to be HOME on the weekends, especially during the holiday season.

Baby McCall will be here any day now and I’m soaking up all of these special little moments at home with our son as we eagerly anticipate baby’s arrival. We just finished decorating this batch of sugar cookies for friends and family — and Santa, of course! What special holiday traditions do you have in your family?

We might not be a brick-and-mortar anymore … but we’re still a small business! That said, will always be near and dear to us and hold a special place in our hearts.

Over the years we’ve enjoyed growing our business and getting to know all of you … you became more than just customers — you became part of the TWS family.

Today, though our “business” looks a lot different, we’re excited for the next chapter of the TWS story and are grateful to all of you who are still with us on this journey! Definitely excited to see what 2022 has in store …

Feeling all kinds of nostalgia this fall morning as we approach the holiday season … it was always a bustling and energetic yet cozy time at the bakery.

We’ve received *so* many sweet messages from previous customers and followers in recent weeks, telling us how much they miss TWS and can’t wait for our cookbook release. And guess what? We can’t wait either, haha! Writing a cookbook is a LONG process and we sincerely appreciate you all staying connected with us during this new phase of TWS.

We look forward to posting more content in the coming months as things start to take shape with the cookbook, including fun behind-the-scenes sneak peeks, cooking demos and more!

Good morning! It’s been a little while since we’ve posted so we wanted to check in and say hello on this beautiful, fall Tuesday! 🍂

I also wanted to share a delicious drink I’ve been making at home: Lavender Chamomile Tea Latte!

At almost 30 weeks pregnant, I’m definitely missing my coffee, and though I’ve treated myself to a few seasonal decaf drinks ( all the way) — this drink has been incredibly satisfying at home. Even if you’re not a tea fan, I recommend giving it a try!

Simply steep 2 bags of your favorite non-caffeinated herbal tea (I really love the Organic Chamomile with Lavender by ). Once fully steeped, add a tablespoon or two of honey and stir. While the tea steeps, warm up about 1/2 cup oat milk on the stove and use a small handheld milk frother to get it nice and foamy. Pour the milk into the tea and enjoy! 🫖🍯

Happy Friday! I spent all morning baking our 🤎Oat ‘n Honey Pies🤎 that will be favors for a good friend’s wedding tomorrow. I haven’t baked these outside of TWS in over 8 years … the good news? With a few home-friendly tweaks, they turned out perfectly. 👌🏻

As we put pen to paper on our , it’s essential that we test (and retest) every single recipe to ensure it’s accessible and attainable for the home baker. Over the years, we’ve made countless recipes from well-known cookbooks, magazines, online sites, etc. that simply don’t translate — and it’s the most frustrating thing! A waste of time, ingredients and then the let-down of not enjoying the finished product. Who’s with us? 🙋🏻‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️

We know how eager you all are for our cookbook, but good things do take time. It’s a labor of love and we know it’ll be worth the wait … thanks for the continued support since we closed up shop last month!

Hello, cupcake! 🧁

What was your favorite cupcake flavor at TWS? One of mine had to be Vanilla Chai. I developed this recipe at home, years before we even opened the bakery. I remember grinding up different spices in my mortar and pestle to make what came to be our house-made chai spice blend. It’s the perfect balance of sweet ‘n warm spice, which always hits the spot this time of year. 🍁🍂

Feeling a bit nostalgic today, as fall was always my favorite season at TWS. I loved making these sugar cookies at the bakery last year and am debating on whether or not to pull out the cutters and whip up a batch at home for friends and family this year.
