Missisquoi River Sunset - 1/15/2024
I drive along this river almost every day on my commute to and from work. But I rarely stop to take photos. Yesterday was my day off and I spent the day at home. Late afternoon I decided to go for a photo drive. I'm not really sure why. The sky was gray, it was cold, and it really didn't look too promising for taking photos. But I needed to fill the car with gas, and we had to pick up something at the store, so I grabbed my camera gear hopped in the car, and headed out. I found a few places near my home to take a couple of photos, but something made me drive a bit further away from home. I'm glad I did because as I came around the corner, the sun broke through the clouds and lit the sky with some of the most beautiful colors that I have seen! And the reflection was almost mirror-perfect as it shimmered around the ice floating on the river.
