Have you ever really looked at our logo?

Most people notice the wheat first—and that’s exactly what I hoped for. The wheat represents the incredible agriculture that makes the San Luis Valley so special.

But if you look a little closer, you’ll notice something else.

The mountains aren’t just a simple outline. They’re layered.

That was completely intentional.

When I moved to the San Luis Valley in 2020 and started baking I quickly fell in love with the the valley. Every sunset seemed to paint the mountains differently. The smoke, the haze, and the golden light create these beautiful layers where each mountain fades into the next.

I took this photo near La Garita looking toward the San Juan Mountains, and every time I see it, I’m reminded why I designed our logo the way I did. Those soft layers became part of our brand because they represent this place we call home.

So our logo isn’t just a mountain.

It’s the wheat fields, the agriculture, the sunsets, and the mountain ranges that make the San Luis Valley unlike anywhere else.

Every little detail has a purpose, and every time you support our bakery, you’re supporting a business that’s proud to call this valley home

🎂💖 One of the sweetest parts of my job is getting to celebrate life’s special moments with returning customers! 💖🎂

These lovely ladies received a birthday cake from me last year, and I was honored to create another one for them this year! There is truly no greater compliment than having customers come back and trust me to be a part of their celebrations again.

Seeing the smiles, hearing that everyone enjoyed the cake, and getting to watch these girls make more birthday memories made my day. Thank you for supporting my small business and allowing me to be a small part of your special moments year after year.

👀 So… about that year-long disappearance…

We may have gone a little quiet over here (okay, very quiet). Life got wild, ovens cooled off, and flour took a well-deserved nap.

But lately I’ve been feeling that itch again…
The mixer is looking at me funny.
The oven keeps whispering, “You miss me.”
