For years, Asian American communities have faced real barriers on the path to homeownership—from being underrepresented in housing data to language barriers and lending standards that can make an already complicated process even harder.

AREAA has worked to help change that.

Through advocacy and collaboration, AREAA has helped:
📊 Push for better representation of Asian Americans in housing data through the Campaign

🗣️ Advocate for greater language accessibility for borrowers with limited English proficiency

🌎 Help make important homebuying resources available in languages including Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Tagalog

🏡 Advocate for fairer treatment of certain student loan debt when determining mortgage eligibility

These accomplishments are a reminder that AREAA is more than a professional network. It’s a collective voice working toward greater access, representation, and homeownership opportunities for the communities we serve.
