And I’ve always known that somehow, someday, I would find my calling in the food world. For obvious reasons, I felt most comfortable around food; it’s what I grew up loving. But I never imagined that this love would lead to an opportunity to open my own bakery. Growing up in the family of good cooks, I cultivated love for cooking from younger age. Born and brought up in Mumbai, India, I always had
passion for cooking. After coming to New York, although I was working in fashion industry, I was always dreaming about making my career in food industry. While working, I took few courses from prestigious Institute of Culinary Education to satisfy my inner passion. My passion for cooking, specially baking, grew so strong that I went to Institute of Culinary Education to earn the degree of pastry chef. To follow my dream, I took a bold decision to give up the well-settled job in fashion industry. Madeleine Bakery is created by owner / Pastry Chef Zueen Bhosle. We work hard here in our kitchen to bring unique creative energy; and love for bringing people happiness through great food. We invite you here to start your morning coffee with some of our delicious breakfast treats or even stop by with some friend for some great brunch, like fresh crepes served with healthy choice of salad.
