We have not posted in quite a while. It has been a very busy and crazy last few months. We had another dog attack on our property. It was not the same dog as June. Fortunately there were no casualties to this attack. However Miss. Sally our momma goat laid down and took the attack from two dogs to save her babies. She is the best momma goat ever! Her ear was barely hanging on and had to be amputated off completely and they had to go back in and clean out infection a few times. She is on the mend and it’s healing so well. But it has completely healed over her ear canal so as of now it is not a problem but she is pretty much completely deaf on that side due to it healing closed. And any dog she sees she hates now she stomps and throws a fit. We do not blame her one bit! We don’t bring dogs near her minus our corgi but this was just with other dogs at the vet.

Dealing with having to rehome our animals has been very hard. The best part is learning and finding out about their forever homes and getting updates on them and how they are doing. One of our female pigs Delilah had her babies last night. 10 little piglets. She is in the best new home. Makes me happy she such a great home although I am bummed about getting to miss out on these cute little babies 🥰 🐖

All of our ducks and geese have found their new homes while we await this upcoming move we weren’t expecting. So now the previous duck/geese area is now a goat area. The babies are loving being able to run around and jump on all their new to them toys

The military has other plans on where we should live. We will be offering eggs for as long as we can but we will also be closing down the farm stand completely and starting to downsize and sell all of our animals. We are completely heart broken our time here in WA state is being cut so short and we have to get rid of our farm 😭

Last night one of our mama goats had a bit of a traumatic birth and her baby boy was stillborn. 😭 Was a hard night and not heat we were expecting. Mama is doing so good now despite the outcome.

Then this morning we were running behind for work and appointments and came outside to leave and found our last pregnant female had her baby girl with no warning she was going into labor and I checked her last night just incase. So baby girl #5 was born this morning. All 5 babies that made it are girls and the one who didn’t make it was the only boy.

Now we just need to name this last baby girl. Photos to follow 🌈
