The O’Neill is piggy backs off our MacGyver sandwich celebrating Roseville’s local STAR, Richard Dean Anderson’s character in Stargate SG-1. In this role, Colonel Jonathan “Jack” O’Neill leads missions through the Stargate portal to new planets and galaxies to explore, gain technology, defend Earth from alien domination, liberate enslaved civilizations, & offer humanitarian aid to planets in need. He is defined by his deep emotional depth, a strong sense of responsibility, and a protective, albeit sometimes cynical, nature. In the show, Jack frequently mentions fishing at his cabin in Minnesota and mixes in some classic “you betcha’s” which is fun to see on the screen.
