Also is information on the family of John Daugherty Cheshire, a WW1 pic of Floyd Pyles, and a hand written history of Joseph Branson Pyles, b. 1859. Family bibles are a great source of genealogical information. Over the years I collected bibles as they have become available and shared with me. I've updated my website for the list of family bibles for Hampshire County and the surrounding area. Currently there are 61 scanned copies of family bibles. Just download the free list and then request the scanned image of the bible. Always happy to share! My email address is [email protected].

This weekend is Summer Harvest Festival. Stop by my tent on the Taggart Hall Lawn in downtown Romney. I'll be there Friday thru Sunday, 10 AM to 4 PM.
I have dozens of Hampshire County history books, used Civil War books, old Life magazines, and my latest book, My Town, My School, & My County! This was just released in May and contains many stories of Romney and Hampshire County.
The proceeds of many of the used books and papers will go to the Hampshire County Library, Helping Hands, the American Legion, and the W. Va. Schools for the Deaf and Blind Foundation.
Stop by a chat for awhile!
