A quick note before this week’s schedule (listed at the bottom of this email):

Our Stone Street kitchen is OPEN TODAY from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM!

🥤 Fresh juices, smoothies, and coffee are available all morning.

🥟 Hot empanadas can be heated and ready in about 10 minutes.

🍲 We also have a fresh pot of our Brazilian Black Beans with Beef. This week’s batch features an especially tender cut of beef, and we’ve added even more beef than usual. Rich, hearty, comforting, and perfect for lunch or dinner.

🥐 Fresh scones will be coming out of the oven later this morning, along with other baked treats throughout the day.

We’re trying a new schedule at the YMCA Bethesda-Chevy Chase this Wednesday! Instead of packing up in the late afternoon, we’ll be staying until about 7:30 PM so those of you who work during the day have a chance to stop by after work. We’d love to see you and hear what you think of the later hours.

It’s a wonderful day to stop by for breakfast, lunch, coffee, smoothies, empanadas, soup, or to stock up on frozen soups and treats for later.

It’s here!

We have some exciting news to share!

After years of dreaming, planning, and hard work, we have purchased a trailer for our new food truck, and construction is beginning right away.

For more than 20 years, you’ve supported our family business, and we can never fully express how grateful we are. Every empanada, pastry, coffee, and kind word has helped us get to this point.

This new truck will allow us to obtain the permanent food truck license that our current truck cannot qualify for. That license will open doors to new opportunities, including invitations we’ve already received from the Silver Spring YMCA, the Urbana YMCA, and many other community events.

Our goal is to have the truck completed before the end of the summer so we can continue growing and serving more families throughout our region.

Instead of launching a large fundraising campaign, we’re simply reaching out to our community. If you would like to contribute toward the project, any donation—large or small—would be deeply appreciated. Funds will help us purchase essential equipment, including a service window and other items needed to complete the build.

Please know that your support is never expected. The fact that you visit our food truck, tell your friends about us, and continue supporting our family means more than we can say.

Recently, I’ve come to see this business as a true blessing from God. I feel more passionate than ever about serving our community, and I’m excited to take this next step with all of you.

Good morning everybody! 💛

A quick note for today: Our kitchen is open 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and I’ll be baking fresh scones later this morning, with empanadas coming out throughout the day as well. The coffee bar, juice bar, and smoothie bar are all open today, so it’s a great day to stop by, grab breakfast or lunch, and stock up on frozen soups and treats.

Today
Hello, everyone! I arrived at the kitchen at 3:30 a.m. and made scones, cookies, and almond horns. We still have fresh Mexican beef stew, chilled, and Brazilian fish stew ready to eat with rice or empanadas. The empanadas are bigger and plumper than ever.

The Potomac United Farmers Market has its produce vendor, meat and poultry vendor, egg vendor, pizza vendor, barbecue vendor, fish vendor, and another bakery with all kinds of breads.

I forgot to mention today we have hot and ready to eat Brazilian fish stew. It’s already half gone. We have fresh Mexican Sancochó with beef, butternut squash, soup, and the Armenian lentils with apricots all made last night and served chilled.
