Willow Bake Shoppe Our Blueberry donuts were rated one of the top five in Maine by DownEast Magazine in 2012! Also Vote Delicious old fashioned style donuts, made since 1949!

All of our Donuts are made fresh each morning and contain no preservatives. Our delicious Cider donuts use local Cider, we use nothing but Maine Blueberries, and we make our own buttermilk. Most unsold donuts are donated to a local Food Pantry.

It’s been a while since we’ve connected, but we’ve been busy planning for Willow Bake Shoppe’s future. As we look ahead, we’re also taking a moment to reflect on Willow’s humble beginnings. "You can't know where you are going, until you know where you have been". So, we’re on a heartfelt mission to learn more about Willow’s legacy and the stories that make it so special.

Today we passed the torch - We have sold the business (yes, our recipes too!) to a wonderful woman named Sheena who plans to bring the donuts back! She is new to the area, so please give her all the love and support that you gave us when we took this on in 2012. This has been an amazing chapter in our lives, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for Willow Bake Shoppe!! This will be “our” last post, as we now transfer full control to her!!! We love you donut fans - and like you, we can’t wait for that first donut!! 💕

Friday was an emotional day. We can’t say thank you enough to all of you for making these past 11 years what they were…now buckets are empty, buttermilk is gone, the fryer is drained, and more than one tear was shed. We love Willow Bake Shoppe, and always will 💗

Well, I’m afraid we have to officially call it. Tomorrow (Friday) will be our last day. We have enough buttermilk, flour & sugar to make the donuts currently on order, but we are not able to accept any additional orders. We will make as many as we can and open as early as possibly (likely not until 8) but when they are gone, they’re gone…

We will be opening at 8 again today (Thursday), and suspect there will be limited availability and that we will likely sell out quickly…It is also looking quite plausible that Friday may end up being our last day…we had tentatively set Saturday as the final day, but because of the tremendous amount of special orders that have been pouring in, we will likely run out if ingredients before then. We truly appreciate all the love 💕 Knowing how much our shop means to you all makes the decision to close that much harder, but we have also had such an outpouring of support that hopefully someone else will realize what a gem this place is and will step in to keep it going in a new location…🤞💕
