Confession time… 😅

Turns out… I may have finally found the limit, because we actually have brownies heading into Monday!

Honestly, I’m still a little shocked. 😂

But now that I’ve had time to think about it, I’m kind of excited because a Monday morning with a coffee and a brownie sounds pretty unstoppable to me!

Well… they worked. 😂 We have Sourdough Strawberry Pop-Tarts today while they last!!!

Surprise Saturday Spotlight

What do you do with leftover strawberry filling after making Strawberry Cheesecake Sweet Rolls?

1️⃣ Throw it away
2️⃣ Eat it on toast
3️⃣ Turn it into one of your favorite guilty pleasures…

If you guessed #3, you know me way too well. 😂

So, in true Grains fashion, I looked at that strawberry filling and thought, “Well… this sounds like a Pop-Tart situation.”

Now, full transparency—my first attempt at homemade Pop-Tarts resulted in the filling becoming an outside filling. 🤦‍♀️ Let’s just call that a valuable learning experience.

Today, I combined my ravioli-making skills with my love for our sourdough pie crust and tucked that strawberry goodness safely inside where it belongs. The Strawberry Pop-Tarts are prepped and ready to be baked tomorrow morning, then finished with frosting.

Will they be amazing? Will they explode? Will we discover a whole new category of pastry?

Honestly, tomorrow’s surprise is for both of us. 😂🍓🤞

Just in time for your weekend plans! Stop in grab your sourdough goods and a loaf of the Sourdough Jalapeno Cheddar - you will be the best guest to the party! (Psssst - even if the party is on your couch - you want to make everything with this!)

Just think 💭 Breakfast sandwiches, toast with honey or jam, hamburgers, a night hot ham Sammie, my list could go on….

Apparently, “make more brownies” was heard loud and clear. 😂

Fresh out of the oven for Friday & Saturday are our gourmet sourdough brownies, including the crowd-favorite Pecan Pie Brownies!

Last time they flew out the door, so this week we made 5 pans—that’s 10 times our original recipe for this week alone!

Now the real question is… did we make enough?!?!?!?

There is something special about Thursdays - one could say it’s closer to the weekend than not, one could say it’s because it’s a great day to finish the projects before the weekend….

Well, Grains of Love says Thursdays are so special because it’s all about our long fermented Sourdough Bagels coming to life - baked golden brown, smells going throughout the bakery, and the taste of a bagel right from the oven is something indescribable!

I love everything Zucchini - I don’t know what it is but it makes everything a little extra! We have officially started some of our summer muffin combinations. Yesterday we had Spiced Pear which is inspired by a poached pear flavor profile and today we have these little beauties — Zucchini Chocolate Chip Sourdough Muffins!
