The mouth watering aroma of bread baking would greet me early Saturday mornings at my great aunt's house in Trinidad. The unmistakable fragrance coming from her kitchen always got me out of bed and at her side for the first slice from the still hot loaf of bread. Inspired by that very memory I began baking bread of my own, with her in mind, and her recipes as my guide. Born in Trinidad West Indies

, where I ate freshly picked, home made, and newly baked foods regularly, I have always had an appreciation for quality foods and premium ingredients an appreciation that has stayed with me even after migrating to the U. Tanti Olive's Loaves & Things pays homage to my heritage and my late great aunt by reproducing home made bread using premium all natural ingredients. Our traditional baking methods have been passed down from my great grandmother, to my great aunt, to my mother and in turn, me; recapturing a memory and ensuring flavor and the classic taste of artisan baking.
