Dan and Justin are 2/3 of Snot Patties, a group that was “active” in Erie PA, largely when the guys were in high school. Earlier this year, Animiculum released the tape I Covet The Jewels I Found In Your Skull: Selected Songs 2001-2005; and this weekend I got to host a little reunion at HQ! These two hadn’t seen each other in over 10 years, and hadn’t played music together in considerably longer. It was a real treat to hear some of the songs live, learn more group lore, and even hear a new tune get written!

This is an archival release of music recorded 25 years ago. Lo fi pop songs laden with weirdness and heart. A perfect stocking stuffer for any fan of the outer fringes of indie rock. For fans of GBV, early Mountain Goats, Ween, TMBG, Jandek, NMH, etc.

I had a great time helping prep this one for release, I think it’s gonna turn some heads and flip some minds.

If you’re a fan of introspective, literate songwriters in the style of Dylan, Drake, and Isbell, you won’t want to miss these. Elite backing vox from some cicadas, too, if you squint.
