If you know someone who is looking for a job, our friends are hiring! One of the owners from Ridge Donuts stopped in before we closed. It was such a breath of fresh air to chat with someone who has a passion to serve the community with homemade food, works before the sun rises and after the sun sets, and who knows what it’s like to constantly look for help. Please help them serve the community if you can! We need family owned businesses in Rochester. It takes the whole community to keep them around!

Open interviews tomorrow from 2pm-3:30pm for front end help.
Must be able to work any hours between 6am-4:30pm.
Looking for someone to start asap.
We will accept summer help but we are looking for someone more permanent as well.
Thank you!

Cinnamon Buns and donuts available to pre-order for May 30th pick up at Sweet Acres Creamery in Geneva. 1100 US-20, Geneva, NY 14456. Go to our website and pre-order them by Friday noon. Please NOTE: pickup is in Geneva at Sweet Acres Creamery, not in Rochester even though the website says Rochester. While you are at Sweet acres creamery on Saturday, be sure to try their local burger and fried cheese curds. And ice cream for dessert! Plus pick up some milk and cheese. It’ll be worth your trip. 😉 Thank you for supporting local. Here’s our website: https://www.goldenharvestbakerycafe.com

Looking for something fun to do and hankering for a donut or ice cream? Take a short trip to Sweet Acres Creamery today (Saturday). We made a limited amount of donuts for Sweet Acres Creamery in Geneva and fritters for Duvall farm in Bloomfield. Both are a decent drive from Rochester. We made that hike daily for the past 6 months and it’s a beautiful drive, a bit long to do on a daily basis but beautiful nonetheless. We plan to make donuts again for next week Saturday. After that, we will not promise anything. Sweet acres makes their own ice cream using milk from local farms. And their milk is some of the best milk around. A2 milk is also easier to digest than most dairy is.

If you could receive a cooking kit with recipes and step by step instructions monthly that any age child/adult could make, would you buy it if it didn’t break your bank? 😅 Here’s why I’m asking. What will you do if you don’t work at Golden Harvest every day? Good question. If there’s one thing we are passionate about, it’s about educating people what eating REAL food means and how it can change the quality of your life. Another thing we are passionate about is to give the younger generation the opportunity to learn everything they can to improve the quality of their life. Many of you have asked for our recipes. Well, I can’t give them to you because most of you don’t have 40qt and 80 quart mixers in your house. But the good news is, I can give you similar recipes. Teach your children how to read recipes, the joy of serving and the fun of serving products they made, and you have just made a great investment in not only yours and their future, but in the future of your/their community. So yes, if I have enough support and interest, I’m thinking of assembling monthly cooking kits (recipes, kitchen gadgets, apron but not ingredients, learning to shop on a budget is part of learning to cook) you can order for your family. Let me know if you think this is a good idea. Yay or nay? Thank you -Emily

Mama, the most sacred call in your life is motherhood. Think about it, you are entrusted to impact the next generation in a way only a mom can! Through the long. sleepless nights, weary days, and exhausting weeks, stay strong! When you feel unseen and overlooked and no one knows what you actually do, everything you do, matters. YOU are irreplaceable in your children’s lives. 💞-Emily

It’s hard to believe it’s over. It will take a while for us to process and rest. But there is no doubt in our hearts that we made the right decision for our family. On April 13th Joel n I (Emily) both heard a clear voice: “rest, let go.” In answer to our prayers for passion for the business and direction in juggling our family, business and life in general. It was such a clear answer, it makes the closing part easier. So many dreams lie shattered around us. We can’t make sense of anything. But we anticipate a new season of rest and making family memories somewhere else than serving you all at Golden Harvest. So grateful for the loyal former employees and friends that came to help us finish well. We couldn’t have done it without their help. By the end of this week we only had 5 people working out of the 15 we trained over the last 6 months! This also made it easier to close down and was actually part of what motivated us to do so right now. A seed has to die before it can grow. So even though it may feel like death now, we believe new life will come out of it. Golden Harvest was and is God’s project. We leave the future in his hands. Words cannot even express how grateful and humbled we are by all the support and love the majority of the community has shown! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We have made some really good friends. Henrietta/Rochester and especially the deaf community will always have a special place in our hearts.
