Town of Vinton Trick or Treat is officially RESCHEDULED for Thursday, October 30, 2025!

Due to forecasts calling for significant rain and colder temperatures on Tuesday, the Town of Vinton has rescheduled its annual Downtown Trick or Treat event to Thursday, October 30, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Thursday’s forecast calls for warmer temperatures and less chance of rain, creating a more enjoyable and comfortable experience for families participating in this cherished community tradition.

Children are encouraged to come in costume and bring a bag or container for their treats. Dozens of downtown businesses and community organizations will be handing out candy and goodies throughout the event area.

To ensure the safety of participants, several downtown streets will be closed beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30. Affected streets include portions of Pollard Street, Walnut Avenue, Jackson Avenue, Lee Avenue, Cleveland Avenue, and Maple Street. Parking will be prohibited on these streets after 1:00 p.m. to allow for setup. Streets are expected to reopen around 7:00 p.m.
