This week held the sweetest end to summer. ☀️🤍

I know that *technically* summer ended a few weeks ago. But for me, it ended yesterday. This week the temps were high, the sun was bright and the flowers were stunning.

Our End of Summer Mini Sessions were such a huge success—we SOLD OUT! And looking back at these precious images, I can’t think of a better way to have soaked up those last golden bits of summer before turning the page to fall.

And now here we are… the rain is falling, the air feels a little cooler, and I’m fully embracing the cozy. 🍂☕️

I’m so grateful to each one of these families! Here’s to the last little bit of summer—and everything beautiful that fall has in store. 🤎

You might have seen that I recently announced that my former gallery (PASS) company is closing down. This has been such a bummer, but it's been so fun connecting with past clients and going through old galleries!

Recently, I had a client reach out nervous about the weather. It was scheduled to rain on our session date and I encouraged her that we could pick a raincheck date, or push through. Then, I told her about one of the weddings I photographed right in the middle of a hurricane! It was Rebeca and Jacob's wedding that you see here. I'll never forget how much it poured that day! Can you tell ;) ?! I'll forever remember how lovely this day was!!

There’s something about the end of summer that makes me want to hold on a little tighter.

The flowers are still blooming. The evenings are still warm. The kids are still barefoot and a little bit sun-kissed (or in my kid's case their hair is still "golden blonde").

This family session with the McCarty Family felt like such a beautiful little snapshot of this season—full of movement, laughter, cuddles, and all the wonderfully imperfect ways a family loves one another. 🌻

And maybe that’s why I love photographing families so much.

Because someday, the baby being tossed into the air will be much too big for it. The little boy wrapped around Dad’s leg will be taller than him. And these ordinary summer days will be the ones you wish you could step back into for just a minute.

So, before summer slips away…

When I first started my photography business, I searched high and low for the perfect gallery company. I wanted a place where I could beautifully deliver my clients’ photographs and know that their memories were in good hands.

And then I found PASS.

For nearly 10 years, PASS has been part of the Anna Filly Photography experience. So, needless to say, I was pretty surprised (and a little sentimental!) to learn that PASS is officially shutting down its gallery services. 🥺

There is something so special about photographing women who are stepping boldly into what’s next. ✨

I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing this beautiful woman as she prepares for an incredibly exciting season—opening a tea house and running for City Council! Talk about a woman with vision, ambition, and a whole lot going on. 😉

I loved getting to capture headshots that felt polished, confident, and still completely like her. Because whether you’re opening a business, pursuing a new opportunity, or putting yourself out into the world in a big way, you deserve photographs that reflect the woman behind it all.

And I have a feeling we’re going to be seeing a lot more of this gorgeous face very soon! 🤍

Our last day of summer before the “ber” months hit & the littles have their first day of school.

So much joy filled our days this Summer. The beach. The lake. The river. Friends upon friends. Two lost teeth. Our first caught fish. The sprinkler in the backyard. Ella Langley on repeat. Learning to play games as a family. Friday fun nights. So many adventures & not nearly enough time. We adventured. We tried new things. The sun bleached their hair & they each grew so much. 🥹☀️ 🌊
