The Cake Geek Cottage Food Cakes....full time registered nurse with a full time passion for making edible memories. I dream about opening a little cake shop someday.

Cottage Food Cakes are cakes that are baked in my home. I have a separate cake room just for me to make cakes and as a nurse I know how to wash my hands and I have the alligator skin to prove it! I am very particular about what goes on around my cakes. Which my husband is cool with because it gives him more time to golf without complaints :)

Limitations to having a cottage food bakery...I can't s

hip out of state, I can't sell to businesses/restaurants for them to resell, and I don't have a crazy large refrigerator or stove so I have make my brain smoke to fit cakes into a perfect puzzle. I want so much to have a walk in refrigerator and crazy huge stove that I can cook more than two half sheets at a time maybe one day (as a day dream bubble floats over my head).

I can’t believe it has already been 10 years since my husband retired! I miss making cakes so much! I haven’t made cakes for for two years because I have been working hard on my MSN (Masters of Science in Nursing) and working full time as a nurse at the VA. Only 6 months to go! Thank you all for being so patient with this 🎂 🤓.
