It’s the last Riverside farmers’ market today at 2:30.

Last chance to get this bread from Old Gaffer’s Garden.

I really like this bread and think it’ll replace the country sourdough at whatever markets I do throughout the year. The country sourdough will just be an Oak Park Farmers’ Market thing.

Hopefully we’ll be able to bring the bread back next year in this same capacity. I have no interest in being a full time vendor so we’ll see.

The stencil pack I bought for the corn stencil for the Toasted Corn bread came with 7 pumpkin stencils.

Might as well use them all for the first Pumpkin Rye of the season.

It’s a great bread, roasted kabocha squash, a spice mix with caraway, coriander, anise and fennel, a handful of pumpkin seeds for good measure.

It feels like fall and that seems like a good time for pumpernickel.

It’s sometimes hard to get the timing right when the seasons change but I think I nailed this one.

Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary, 16 years. If anyone wants to bring me a bottle of ch*****ne to celebrate that’d be cool.
