After much prayer, reflection, and heartfelt conversations as a family, we’ve decided to step into a new season. Over the next few years, we want to fully embrace this precious window of time with our children before they begin school full time. These early days are a gift, and we feel called to slow down and savor them together.

With that in mind, we’ve made the tender and difficult decision to pause Alternative Kneads for the foreseeable future. This business has been such a blessing to our family, and that is largely because of you.

Thank you for your unwavering support, encouragement, and love along the way. You’ve been more than customers — you’ve been part of our journey. We are deeply grateful and hopeful for what the future may hold. ❤️

As our big baking season winds down a little, I will take some time off from baking, dedicate it to my family, my job and on how to direct Alternative Kneads for 2026.
We will be closed for ordering until February 16th. Thank you all that supported us so far, for making my dream one that came alive, for always making my days and for coming out to the Hudson Farmers Market on CARMICHAEL.
We will reboot, rethink and find better ways to make family, my job, and baking work together!

Baking the entire bread menu at once…loved the challenge and to see physically all the shapes (I bake) of bread, structure, colors, sourdough and yeast was really fun! 🤩

We went from Italian Ciabatta and Focaccia to French Baguettes and to Jewish Challah, classical sourdoughs and yeasted buckwheat multigrain! This is a love language I’m speaking of! The international love language of bread 🫠
