Good morning!! Wanted to give some updates about a few things.
🍞🕊️ LOAF THY NEIGHBOR:
Please if you know anyone who is struggling with food insecurity, send them my way to get on the LTN list. Two sweet folks have together donated three sourdough/yeast sandwich loaves and I have to find a home for them tomorrow. The shelf life for these loaves goes fast so they need to be picked up or dropped off tomorrow. We will not reveal the names of who gives the loaves or gets the loaves to anyone, because we follow Matthew 6:1-4’s view on giving. I will only let everyone know the number of loaves donated each week.
🌸📨 LRBS PREORDERS:
I know some folks have told me through word of mouth that they want to purchase certain items but they haven’t submitted a preorder. I’m so excited to serve everyone, but I have to be honest up front that we need the preorders so that we can go buy the ingredients and also to ensure that the product gets moved as quickly as possible because it is sourdough which does not behave like the “petrified” bread at the grocery store. Yeast baked items (especially with a bunch of preservatives) can sit on shelves far longer than sourdough so that’s why we really need preorders. It would be devastating to fill the shed up with sourdough and then have none of it sell.
I’ve got people telling me I should quit but I don’t want to because I honestly feel I’m called to do this. Tomorrow I will be baking the following on faith that they will sell 🙏🏼 because there weren’t any preorders outside of LTH:
4 sourdough jalapeño cheddar sourdough loaves
8 sourdough/yeast sandwich loaves
4 butter croissant sourdough loaves
12 maple pecan sourdough scones
I cannot wait for you to try our sourdough!!!

Good morning bread lovers!!!
Please make sure to get your preorders in for Monday's dough day! I know some people have told me they were going to buy but the only way this works is preordering because I have to go get ingredients. We are a single income family with 3 side hustles, but I still have to have the money up front to go get ingredients for now. ALSO! LRBS has started a new program to help facilitate getting fresh sandwich bread to any family struggling with food insecurity. The way it works is you choose the "Loaf Thy Neighbor" item in our Bakesy storefront and that lets me know to bake a loaf to give away on Tuesdays! The day we launched we got to donate two loaves and as of right now I have two and a half loaves donated for Tuesday! If you are seeing this post and are dealing with food insecurity, please please private message me so you can get on the list for some sandwich bread covered by the generosity of some Lauderdale County neighbors!!
I pray this grows into something where we can work together to lend a hand and eventually end hunger for our county and maybe even beyond!

Brett got called in to work late & I laid down with the kids & passed out till midnight but I still managed to get the dough together for 30 +/- sourdough cinnamon rolls! They will be ready to go by tomorrow around 5:00pm along with all the other bread. Next week I will have a sweet baby sitter on Monday so y’all can expect the shed stocked earlier next Tuesday!!
Tomorrow I plan to bake the following:
🫶🏼 30 honey sourdough cinnamon rolls
🫶🏼 10 sourdough/yeast sandwich loaves
🫶🏼 16 sourdough maple pecan scones
🫶🏼 20 southern butter cookies
🫶🏼 HOPEFULLY 24 Rhia bars!!
*no inclusion loaves this week, it’s been kinda hectic*

Hope everybody had a pleasant memorial day weekend & that whatever you’re putting your hand to today isn’t too stressful!
Today is DOUGH DAY! 🙌🏼
Make sure you get your preorders in and I will whip it up for you and have bread in the shed by tomorrow at 5! I’ve had a few people ask for the cinnamon rolls so I’m going to start the dough for those this morning. Make sure to reserve one if you want it tagged with your name!!
*The reason we push preorders is because sourdough items don’t have a very long shelf life. Everybody knows grocery prices are through the roof & we want to avoid waste if at all possible! 🙌🏼
