Founded in 1926, The Mixing Bowl remains family owned and operated. Specializing in wedding and all occasion cakes, if you dream it we can bake it. We also provide small goods, pies, everyday cakes, and breads. We have since moved from our little brick cottage on West Broad Street to the Westbury Shopping Center on Three Chopt Road. Since moving, we have also become a fully Kosher bakery.

💙 Help Us Share Some Warmth This October 💙

Last month, our friends and neighbors showed up in such a big way, honoring Dolly Parton’s legacy by helping put hundreds of books into the hands of children in our communities. Your generosity brought joy, encouraged young readers, and reminded us how much good we can do when we come together. Thank you! 🦋📚

Our owner, Billy, believes that supporting our communities is part of what makes The Mixing Bowl a special place. Each month, he chooses a project that gives our staff, friends, and neighbors an opportunity to help others. This October, we’re collecting supplies for people experiencing homelessness and others in need.

As the weather turns colder, those living without shelter face an even greater need for things many of us take for granted—a warm coat, dry socks, a blanket, or basic hygiene supplies. Together, we can offer a little warmth, comfort, and kindness to neighbors facing difficult times.

Items needed include:

🧼 Hygiene supplies, including soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and feminine hygiene products
🛏️ Blankets
🧦 New socks and underwear in all sizes
🧥 Sweatshirts and coats
🧤 Gloves and hand warmers
🥨 Individually packaged, nonperishable snacks
⛺ Tents

Please drop off your donations at The Mixing Bowl. As a small thank-you for your generosity, you’ll receive a gift from us when you bring in your donation. 💙

If you’d rather have something delivered through Amazon, please reach out to us, and we can provide you with a wish list.

No donation is too big or too small. Remember the teaching about faith the size of a mustard seed: even the smallest beginning can lead to something extraordinary. A pair of socks, a warm blanket, or a simple act of kindness can mean more than you’ll ever know to the person who receives it.
