This has been one of the hardest posts for us to write.
If you’ve been part of Clementine’s Dog Bakery for a while, you know how much the RVA Big Market season means to us..it’s one of our favorite parts of the year!
Which is why this is so hard to say: we won’t be returning to the market this season.
Over the past several months, we’ve been navigating ongoing medical challenges with Ariela, and it’s required us to take a very honest look at our limits. As much as we want to show up the way we always have, pushing through right now just isn’t sustainable.
This decision didn’t come easy, but it is the most responsible way for us to keep going…in a way that protects our health and the future of the bakery.
The good news is, we’re still here and still baking!
Our Treat Society is continuing, and it’s become one of the most meaningful ways we’re able to connect with you right now. It allows us to work at a pace that’s manageable while still creating the kind of treats you know and trust. If you’ve been thinking about joining, this is a really impactful way to support us (and keep your pup stocked).
We know many of you rely on the market, and while we won’t be there, we always encourage supporting small, asking questions, and choosing businesses that prioritize quality and transparency.
Thank you for continuing to show up for us with so much kindness and understanding! It truly means everything!
