At Abilities, our strength comes from people who treat every individual with genuine care and respect. Today, we’re excited to spotlight Sarah Weiss!
Although she joined us only two months ago, Sarah’s connection to our mission began long before her first day. As a mother to a fourteen year old with Autism, she understands the vital importance of finding a space that sees the person, not just the diagnosis. For Sarah, this isn’t just a job, it’s a reflection of her own journey as a parent.
“Abilities is a space that I know I will bring my son, Liam, to when he is no longer able to receive his ABA services. Their mission of focusing on the individual and their abilities, and giving them a safe space to do so, hits my mom heart so hard. You will never walk through that building without being welcomed with a smile and open arms. That’s the beauty of this place.”
When asked to describe Abilities in one word, Sarah chose a cozy sanctuary. She believes the Abilities family extends to everyone, creating a refuge of love and safety for all who enter.
