Celebrating a second birthday with a down on the farm theme. In Nana’s world, not only are the animals edible, so are the barn, the hay and all the trimming.

Sometimes words do not suffice, and this is one of those times. Since I opened my business in 2023, I have had the most amazing support from my friends and my community! Tonight, I was honored with the Best of Madison County gold award for my bakery. I would never have dreamed my small business would have grown so quickly. For all those who voted for me, thank you more than I can say. To my loyal customers who have supported and stuck with me through the growth of a new business, I am beyond grateful. You’ve made a dream come true for this girl.

When we moved to Richmond almost 18 years ago, there were several little ones in our church. One of the ones that quickly became a favorite was a sweet little girl who had the cutest southern accent I had ever heard. She won our hearts. Over the years, we have had the pleasure of watching this precious little girl grow into the most amazing young lady. Her beautiful spirit and love for Jesus has been an absolute blessing to see. A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to make her wedding cake. She wanted handmade wildflowers on her cake and cupcakes. I was incredibly honored that she trusted me to make these treats for her special day!

The Life Cycle of a Sugar Hibiscus
Sugar flowers are a lot of work, but so worth it. I loved doing these for a cake for the sweetest young lady on her 13th birthday!
