We started our business in 2011 and chose the name "Grampas" as an acronym for "The Great American Pasty and Pie Co" Retired Chef Gerard has taught all his grandchildren to cook and everything is known as "Grampas" recipe. Our objective with our business is to bring a unique freshly made product made with lots of love direct to our customer through the avenue of the farmers market. With our Englis

h/South African background we combined our "English pie" with the Michiganders "Yooper" pasty and now have 14 varieties appealing to all taste buds. This has been such a success that what began as "just the two of us" to a small hands on company employing staff and agents to take our product to as many customers as possible. Our market customers have been a loyal factor in our success and we also pay tribute to our market managers who have supported us and given guidance along the way. We are proud to be partners with both and are proud to be "uniquely Michigan"

Schools are almost back!

As we close off the summer and begin the school season, some markets close & others will continue until the end of October. It's our time to regroup and see what new products we want to introduce and look at new markets & events to go through the fall and into winter with!
Its been a very busy summer season and we thank all our customers for their continued support of our small business.
Online sales have been great this year after moving to a Shopify store. We will continue to offer pre-order and pick up at the winter markets & will change those options as the time comes. Pick-ups at our location remain the same and our hours will remain 9 am to 3pm until we go into winter.
We are still doing well on Market Wagon and normally our deliveries increase at this time of year especially when weather starts to close folk in with the white fluffy stuff which will be coming!

We were lucky to have our daughter & 2 grandkids join us for the summer to help with the markets and we are even luckier that our grandson Caiman will be remaining with us to go to Western University. He will continue to help with markets & fall events!

We have had a great team in our kitchen this year which has really helped with production. We lost Jennifer (our Texas vendor) as she is now working at Western.

We thank you all for your continued support and look forward to Fall & Winter!
