What’s happening in the kitchen today?
I haven’t posted for some time but never fear, my kitchen is always full of some sort of shenanigans. Although lately its a Dominic The Donkey dance party 🫏🪩

Today I’m Jamming Out … literally 😁😂
Raspberries , rhubarb, strawberries and a handful or two of blueberries have made their way into jars of jam!

Whats better than a homemade jam on toast or crackers ! I’ll have tons of delicious jams for sale for the holiday season. I’ll be in Blue River on December 13th with loads of goodies and jams. I’ll post more details on a separate post.

Corn 🌽 Corn 🌽 and more Corn 🌽

As a kid corn days were full day of husking, silking, cutting, cooking and filling containers that included a bunch of family members from both the Roen’s and Monroe’s. While my corn day was much smaller, I recruited some little hands to help 💕

What’s happening in the kitchen tonight?
While it appears by my lack of postings in Apron Strings my kitchen has quiet 😁 Rest assured, it’s anything but quiet ! There’s always food cooking, messes in the making or random dance parties!! 🧑🏼‍🍳 🕺🏻😂

Tonight I cut up 80 cups of rhubarb!
Oh Yes and I have an inclination that rhubarb crisps just might be baking later this weekend 😉

What happening in the kitchen today?
Ginger Snaps & Monster Cookies!

The kitchen smelled so good, I’m pretty sure the air contained calories from their deliciousness 😆👨‍🍳 It is totally possible that I may have made a few too many.. ok more than a few. I’ll have a some bagged up for you to enjoy on the porch stoop tomorrow.

What’s happening in the kitchen tonight?

A quick batch of homemade noodles to go with a beef roast! Similar to chopping wood, (ok less lots of hard work and cussing) it will warm ya up twice… once when your kneeding it and rolling it out and then again when ya eat it 😁
