Collaboration over Competition always.

This shoot was incredibly impressive. So many moving parts, so many wonderful, inspiring vendors. Each vendor produced such amazing things and have beautiful accounts to follow. Beyond what they produced, each vendor was committed to collaborating and bringing this vision to life.

Giving a delightful sneak peek from the whimsical and beautiful styled shoot that Courtney from .weddings .flor.al hosted.

I’ll tell more about the cake, YES cake 🤩, soon because it was definitely outside of the box.

Courtney was delightful to work with. She is creative (so so creative), fun and such a kind soul. Her floral work and vision blew me away. I’m so grateful I got to play a small part in this shoot!

All of the vendors were incredible and this experience was truly wonderful at the beautiful

PLEASE READ!

This is incredibly challenging for me to write but also exciting.

My husband and I purchased our home in 2013 and have loved it so much but if you have ever picked up a cake, you know that it isn’t the largest house. Our needs have outgrown this space and so we are in the beginning process of moving!

There’s many unknowns but one thing I know is this, I need to take a break from baking while we get everything ready.

I will still be honoring those on my schedule! So don’t worry! I will have your cake for your event but will not be taking new orders until I’m moved and settled! If I have openings I will post here.

We want this to be our long term home so it may not be an easy or quick process.

I personally will be the one to pack, clean, fix things, and keep our kids running on a schedule, so that is why I won’t be able to take on new things for now. My husband’s work schedule will also be changing so I will need to be more hands-on with the day to day items at home.

I love all of you; your support, enthusiasm and just general kindness to me and my business means the entire world to me. I have a vision for my home, family and business and know that sometimes we need to take a pause to grow. Thank you for hanging with me during this time. 💗KB

Imagine coming to school and being greeted by this statement everyday?

At Rosehill Elementary in Reynoldsburgh the students do!

Belonging : it’s what we all want. It’s such a simple word for a huge concept.

There are so many impediments in today’s culture that make us feel uncomfortable, unwanted, unseen, unheard.

This isn’t just a concern at schools…..reflect on your home, your heart, your organization, your work place.

Building a sense of belonging requires active effort and practice.

How can you create a sense of belonging in the spaces you occupy? Reply below….we can all get better at this!

Here’s a few that came to mind:
+ Celebrate diversity.
+ Encourage inclusivity.
+ Listen. Really listen.
+ Empathize.
+ Validate other’s experiences.
+ Let go of judgement.
+ Look for the similarities in individuals rather than the differences.
+ Work on the idea that acceptance does not mean agreement.
