What a beautiful, busy summer it has been. 🤎

A summer filled with bread making, gardening, baking, canning, painting, creating, and dreaming… and now, preparing to launch something brand new this fall — Petals & Paint Co. 🎨🌿

So many little seeds have been planted this season, both literally and figuratively. From the garden overflowing with goodness to the kitchen filled with the smell of fresh sourdough, and now new creative dreams taking shape.

There are some BIG things happening behind the scenes at The Crust Sourdough Bakery, and I can’t wait to share what’s coming next.

This season has reminded me that when you keep creating, keep dreaming, and keep following where God leads, beautiful things can grow. 🌱✨

Whew… what a whirlwind of a week! 😅 Baking, canning, baking, canning… and somewhere in between, trying to keep up with it all!

Tonight I finally slowed down long enough to make myself something simple and delicious — a fresh tomato and cucumber dish made with goodies straight from the garden. 🍅🥒🌿

Light, refreshing, homegrown, and exactly what I needed after a busy week.

It's been a busy day around here! 🍅🍞

While our sourdough dough is happily rising, we've been busy preserving the harvest. Today we've put up 15 pounds of fresh tomatoes into rich, homemade pasta sauce, and canned several more quarts of crunchy kosher dill pickles from our garden.

There's something so rewarding about filling the pantry with food made from scratch. From fresh-baked sourdough to homegrown harvests, every jar and every loaf is made with love.

This is the season of flour-covered counters, simmering pots, and grateful hearts. ❤️ What's everyone else preserving or baking today?
