Winter Candy Land ❄️🍭 Happy 2nd Birthday, Aries!
This was my last cake on my business calendar this year. As some of my customers that are my friends in my personal life already know, I'm in the process of separation. This means changes in regards to scheduled time with my kids, and I want to keep all time I am with them to be free for them with it being half the time together that we're used to.
It is bittersweet. This little business changed my life. It paid for everything I needed that student loans didn't cover for nursing school. It paid for my gas to drive back and forth. It paid for groceries for my family. It paid for extra scrubs. It paid for tennis shoes. It paid for my stethoscope. It paid for my NCLEX. It paid for monthly bills. And the occasional caffeine fix to carry me through 😅
This little business helped me make my RN dreams come true, and gave me financial independence that I didn't think I'd ever have.
Had it not been for you all trusting me to make your cakes for your most special days, I would have had to work outside of my home to fund my education. Spending more time away from my kids than I wanted to, and making it a lot harder to manage mom life with school. So I just want to say thank you so much for supporting my business. That was huge for me. I close on our house this week and it all started with some very amateur cake decorating 😅 and a few people that gave me a chance and then recommended me to others, too.
I won't be taking any more orders, but if you ever need a recommendation for a cake or cookie decorator, I have so many recommendations for amazing women in the area!
